version 0 is not defined for fiscal year 2023

After completion of one fiscal year in the SAP system, the next day if we try to create any sales order using t.code VA01, the system will throw an error Version 0 is not defined for fiscal year Message No. GP626

Analysis:- Version 0 is not defined for fiscal year

Click on the Help button of the error message 

The system is telling us that version 0 is not defined in controlling area 1000 for the fiscal year 2021.

Rectification Steps:- 

Use T.Code:- SPRO

SPRO > Controlling > General Controlling > Maintain Versions

Maintain Versions:- 

Select Zero Version and Double click on Controlling Area Settings in the left panel 

Fill your controlling area against which you are getting errors. 

Select ZERO Version Double click on Setting for Each Fiscal Year in the left panel. 

Now change the Fiscal Year and save it. 

The new fiscal year has been added. 

After the above changes, you have to execute create a sales order from the beginning and you will not face this error again for this fiscal year.
